  • Biography:
Having grown up in an artistic environment, my mother is a painter and my father is a photographer, I had no choice but to be interested in creating pieces of art. Majoring in Art & Design in college, I've always known that I MUST CREATE! I was fortunate to be able to accompany my mom to many a class at the local Artist Guild. I took pottery, pastel drawing, watercolor painting and even a life drawing class, before the age of 13. I chose to go the commercial route and went into Graphic Design. However lucrative that can be, it is hard not to be able to let your true creative nature fly. Jewelry classes were held in the same building with my college pottery classes and the idea of creating indivicual and unique pieces of jewelry intrigued me, however the opportunity never arose for me to investigate further in that direction, until now!

I was visting a stained glass store in the spring of 2002 when I came across Art Clay Silver. I was hooked immediately! Within a month of my first class I became Level One Certified, enabling me to teach others, this was a fast moving train that I had boarded (or an addiction – as stated by some). Since the beginning I have experimented with and contemplated many different ways to achieve different results with Art Clay Silver. I feel that this medium allows so much flexibility to find your own direction, whether you want to incorporate other products or stay an Art Clay Silver purist, you can do so.
    Philosophy:
Having "discovered" Art Clay years ago has changed my life significantly. This media allows so much creativity and freedom. I use nature as my inspiration, whether it be water, rocks, or animals. I love teaching and have enjoyed helping others to realize that their own creativity is right there, waiting to be discovered.
