Biography:
Creating beautiful art has been a love of mine since childhood. My favorie medium has been molding, shaping and building with clay using ceramics and stoneware, which lead to my discovery of metal clay. Since thne I have never looked back. I find inspiration in forms, texture and nature. I enjoy structural elements and creating movement in my pieces. My practical personality pushes me to design and make pieces that can be worn in many ways, so that my pieces are often reversible or have a dual purpose.
I love the flexibility of Art Clay Silver and have a passion to share my love of creating and building with this medium. In my prior career as an occupational therapist, I loved teaching others ways of doing things differently and helping them achieve their goals. Now as an Art Clay instructor, I use these teaching skills to help my students creat their pieces and to problem solve any design challenges. I create and teach in Toronto where I live with my enthusiastic boys and supportive husband.
