Pat Walton, has won a specialty award in the
2002 Silver Accessories Contest, which was recently
held in Japan. Pat was one of hundreds of Art
Clay Artists who submitted pieces from all over
the world. Her entry, "Dream Keeper"
was selected to receive the NHK Educational
Prize. NHK is the biggest broadcasting TV company
in Japan. The prize includes a 20,000-yen award,
which Pat says she will use to purchase a dinner
when she flies to Japan later this month for
the Japan Hobby Show. Other award-winning Art
Clay pieces were submitted from Taiwan, Korea
and Japan. The remaining Art Clay Silver entries
that passed the final screening, including pieces
from Senior Instructor Shirley Brown and Jackie
Truty, will be on exhibition during the Japan
